Huebing's Dachshunds

DUE TO THE SLOWING ECONOMY AND PUPPY OVERPOPULATION CONCERNS...we HAVE NOT bred a litter since February and DO NOT plan any future litters, ONLY SPECIAL requests by our dedicated clients or approved dachshund lovers who make a special order for a Huebing Dachshund. At this time we have a couple lovely puppies available born Feb/April and a few really nice retired adults looking for permanent loving homes.

Over the past 38 years we have been so blessed with "joy" sharing life with these wonderful little companions known as the "badger dog". Dachshunds have been a huge part of our lives since we were first introduced to the breed in 1970. We are so proud to have had the opportunity to produce quality pups of sound, top bloodlines. We breed litters on a conservative basis making sure the puppies go to special pet or show homes or responsible breeder with proper screening. Not often will you find Huebing's Dachshunds in the pedigrees of other breeders' bloodstock...because the majority of our dachshunds are sold with spay/neuter contracts. We do not practice over breeding, and inbreeding. Our dachshunds are bred to standard for show or companion from AKC registered stock only (No other registries).

We have seen the dachshund become a very popular breed over the years, and it is wonderful to know that most people who own dachshunds consider them as important family members and treat them as such. Dachshunds are not only one of the most beautiful of the canine breeds but they also make best companions. There is no question about it dachshund intelligence, humorous, witty. Their entertaining character can win anyone's heart.

With heavy heart, especially in these tough economic times, we are very concerned about the welfare and future of the dachshund and other dogs and animals.
As we surf the web, or read the newspapers, we cannot help but notice the large number of puppies which are available for sale, with MORE litters on the way.    We would love to think they will all go to the best of caring and loving
homes...unfortunately it will not always be the case. Also, many puppies are offered for sale by credit card or Pay Pal.   This selling technique can attract the impulsive buyer, who may not have the knowledge or affordability to provide necessary care throughout the puppy's lifetime. Also, many puppies are available and sold at "flea" markets and other public places...with no questions asked.   This is alarming, if there are not enough responsible caring humans available to adopt them...there will be many more homeless dachshunds, dogs and other pets which will suffer greatly. Our dachshunds and all animals totally dependant on our "common sense" using "GOOD judgment "and "with a caring heart". Our dachshunds and animal friends have so much unconditional love to offer us, they deserve the best in return, but all too often they are being treated and sold like toys off a shelf!!

We hope all who read this, especially breeders, will help in every way they can to help protect and preserve our "beloved" dachshunds and other "precious" dogs and animals.
