You sure do have lovely dogs. I wish the best for TJ. I had a special needs doxie for many years and she was the best thing ever. She was 4 when she hurt a disc in her back and she lived to be 14 and she too got carried a lot but she was happy till the end. Keep up the good site!!! I sure wish I could take TJ but I still have 2 doxie's right now and one just recovered from a broken jaw in a teeth cleaning (won't be back to that vet again) then a week later he pinched a nerve in his neck so he is just starting to walk again. Vet says he doesn't think it would be from breaking his jaw but I don't think I agree. Again, you have gorgeous little gals/girls. TJ just touched my heart!!!!

I am thrilled with our children. Rose' is missed terribly, but my day is filled with the blessing of her little girl Belle, my Biggie Belle and now the most spoiled rotten child of all Koda. Your passion for pups has been nothing less than one of the greatest experiences of my life. It is amazing to see the distinct personality of each one. Koda fits in perfectly and is such a girly girl. Thanks for all of the happiness you bring through your dedication and work. I watch the Animal Planet clip on the site often and continue to be amazed at Rose' climbing the tree to see the cat. There is much truth in your statement, "Doxies are like potato chips, you can't stop with just one.

Greetings Mary and Butch, Our little red haired girl Schatzi (yes, we had to change her name once more, because people had problems pronoucing 'Purzel' or 'Sternchen'). Gary claims there is an Einstein inside her--she's exceptionably smart and nothing escapes her attention ever! Schatzi is the most beautiful and loving little Dachshund and her sister Liebchen takes good care of her! They love to rough house and come looking for treats together! Mary, please know that I will gladly send anyone looking for a Dachsie your way: You are the best and it is ever so evident in our little Schatzi! We are so in love with her and happy to have found you!

Mary: Your website is very attractive and easy to negotiate. After our visit yesterday we came away with much admiration for the love and quality you lavish on all your dogs. It really, really shows up in all of them, not one Dachsie was unfriendly and their quarters are roomy and clean. Thanks for letting us adopt our little red girl! It sure is hard to decide when all puppies, and the older dogs are so sweet!

Sincerely, Renate and Gary Anderson

Hi Mary, Have really enjoyed your website. Koda and Kacie are doing great. .they are kind and loving and my grandchildren (all 3 of them) are really enjoying them. They are so funny and, of course, spoiled. They are just beautiful. I am hoping to get some pictures to you. It is hard to believe that they will be 4 years old on the 16th of May. They are really enjoying the spring weather and love going for rides in the car.

I just read about TJ. Bless you that you didn't give up on TJ and are providing him with a fulfiling life. I took in a puppy myself that is handicapped. She was born blind and deaf. She is the light of my life. She loves everyone and everything. She makes everyone smile that comes in contact with her. She is truly a blessing in my life, which is how TJ sounds like he is for yours.

Thank you for sharing. Kim (Vancouver, Canada)

Just ran across this web site - GREAT!!!!!! Are you the same Huebing's that were located in Ocala? If so, we still have our dog, Baron, which we purchased from you about 10 years ago. Please let us know if you are the same breeder.

Thanks! Ron and Donna Durian

Hi Mary, I've been a little sick today, and i spent the whole day at home with my doggies - I just wanted to tell you that penelope has become the sweetest, most loving dog. All she ever wants to do is hug and lick and play - She spends all day with Cosmo and they keep each other company - I remember you telling me that you just wanted to make sure she found a good home - I think she really has - I love her so much! Just wanted to let you know.

Have a great day! :) Jonathan

We will always remember the day Mary sent us an e-mail that the puppies had been born. We quickly replied, we have named him Butterscotch. Butterscotch is a very important member of our family. He is a handsome long haired red dachshund. People stop us all the time to tell what a beautiful dachshund he is. Of course Butterscotch loves every bit of it. Mary and Butch have the best dachshunds and love each and everyone of them. We love the website so we can continue to see the wonderful dachshunds. And, yes Butterscotch watches too.

Dear Mary: What a joy to visit your new web site. I am still drying tears after reading about darling TJ. Dachshunds have the hearts and courage of lions and I pray that you will have little TJ for many years to come. Kuchen is still going strong at 11-1/2 years and still thinks she is a puppy. We still miss Little Bit but Kuchen surely does enjoy being the only center of my attention. Having had five dachsies (two from you - Little Bit & Kuchen) during my life I am so hooked on the breed. They make the greatest companions and are such characters and a constant source of joy. You do such wonderful work for the breed. God bless you. Love to you and your family (both human and canine),

Hi Mary, I love your new website. It's fun to look at the new puppies as well as the one's that have gone to good homes. I feel blessed to have run across you when we were looking for our first dachshund puppy. We now have Jack, Jill and Coal in our family thanks to you and my mother in law has Mick. We couldn't be happier.

Thanks so much, Sheri Shoberg and Famil

Hello! My name is Rita Whalen, and I have had 4 Huebing Dachshunds. They are the light of my life! I am the only person in my house, but I have a large family - a large dachshund family! We do many things together, and everywhere we go, people comment on my dogs' beauty, intelligence, and friendliness. My chocolate shorthaired mini, is Bosco. I call him my ambassador, since he relates so well to everyone, and they love him back! Then I have my beautiful dappled, short haired, mini female, Pearl, who is 14 and still going strong, and then there is Gabriel, the youngest of the dogs, at a year and a half. He is full of spunk and energy, with a beautiful, short, soft shiny coat that feels like velvet, and shiny black eyes to match. he loves to kiss and cuddle, and go for walks. he also likes to make his presence known! All my dogs from Mary have been a blessing and a huge part of our lives. My niece and nephew like nothing better than to come by and see the "kids."

These dogs are part of our family, and we love them dearly!

Mary, Rupert is doing just fine. Trust me when I tell you that he gets plenty of tender loving care. He is a blob of love! He is getting plenty of exercise and loves to ride in the car. We are so happy with him and he is the king of the manor. I only regret I could not get his brother, Herbert, but it really would be pushing it as to space and time to really care for them.

Regards, Guillermo Pesant

Fantastic job, Mary!!! Absolutely love the pictures. I was so happy to see pictures of my Buster and Norton as babies. They are the light of our lives! It was meant to be for us to find you and our furbabies. Thank you for a wonderful job in raising these precious babies. The boys are now a little over 4.5 years old and I do believe that they rule our household. They are the sweetest little boys-constantly playing and starting to be little snuggles.

You've got some very sweet pups (both adult and babies)! I especially love the story of T.J. - brought tears to my eyes. I presently have two girls - a standard b/t smooth and a mini b/t smooth - and they are the light of my life, but I always keep a lookout for reputable breeders. Never know when I'll want to expand my family. :)) I absolutely loved the blue dachshund puppy, Hell on Wheels! I had no idea that was even possible in a dachshund. His little face was so . . . well, DACHSHUND! I'll definitely keep your site bookmarked.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful family!

Thought you might like to see some one year photos of Nemo. He is doing fine and is a great companion. Everyone in the neighborhood likes to visit him. He weighs 15 lbs so has grown a little beyond a Mini. We took him up north with us last summer on Crystal Lake in Michigan for 6 weeks and he had a great time on the beach and water with the kids and grand kids. He is very attached to me and demands a lot of attention. He follows me everywhere. His favorite time of day is a ride on my golf cart. We stop at 5 or 6 places where he gets off the cart and runs with me. When he is tired he gets back on the cart and we ride to the next stop for more exercise. He loves it! When he hits his bed at night he gets a tummy rub and is out like a light. Thanks again for this great little Dachsie!

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Bob and Lynn Fickell

Hi Mary, I wanted you to know how well Lily is doing - she is a full fledged member of our family! What a joy! She is the best behaved puppy we have had - and we've had some good ones. She sleeps pretty much through the night in her kennel, no whining or crying. She loves to play, especially with Teddy who is very gentle with her. She plops her toys down in front of him and sits there until he picks one up. I take her for walks or runs and she is full steam ahead- its amazing how fast she can move. (by the way, our tennis court is on our property, so she is not exposed to any other dogs as yet). Her social skills are excellent, she loves to meet people and is very affectionate. Its surprising how quiet she can be, snuggled in a lap, especially for her age. She gets her last shots on December 13th and on the 17th, when we leave for Christmas vacation, she is going to an excellent 'boarding' school near here for training. On return, I will work with her at the training facility until mid January when she will be home. I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving and have a wonderful holiday ahead. I will keep you posted!

Hi Mary: My neighbor got a digital camera for Christmas as was kind enough to take a picture of Kuchen for me. Thought you might like to see how she is looking at 10-1/2 years (I cannot believe where these years have gone!). She is such an angel and the light of my life. Hope all is well with you and your family and all the dachies. I'm getting along good and enjoying retirement.

Take care & God Bless. Love, Judy & Kuchen

Spoiled rotten! the dog bed is a thing of the past. she sleeps in the bed under the covers or she lays on top of a pillow with all 4 feet in the air and she MUST always sleep with her 2 favorite pink stuffed toys. if one of them falls off the bed at night she will cry and wake my dad up to get it for her. She owns the couch and mom and dads laps too! She loves to go for car rides and likes to take an afternoon nap in the bed. She just follows my dad ever where he goes. she has really brought both of them lots of joy! Cricket is truely a great dog, i'm so glad i found her.

Hi Mary! I think of you everyday and was planning on sending you an update today. I'm so happy I found you and your husband in my search for a puppy. It was such a joy to spend the few hours at your place on Sunday. The kids were delighted. You wouldn't believe how this little guy has settled in to his new home! He has not had one accident in the house, not one! My husband loves him and my sister and her grown daughters came by Sunday night to greet him into the family. They are actually stopping by again today to see him. The first night he cried a little, but not much. Monday night he cried alot and last night he was sleeping within 2 minutes of getting into bed. I have a cushy fleece mattress and his receiving blanket for him, plus Bella bought him a little fleece stuffed animal that he loves and takes to bed with him. He is just a true joy to have. His appetite is unwavering. He is just a champ. We made our first trip to the doctor yesterday and he didn't flinch a muscle when he got his shot. They called today to see how he was and make sure he had no side effects. Everyone at the doctor's office loved him, of course. The doctor was also very excited about the NuVet plus. She had never heard of it. She's going to their website to check them out. Bella and Giovanni are so in love with him. They spent the day with us Monday and had fun all day long with him. He met their dog, Snickers, Sunday evening and last night again. Believe it or not, Snickers was the timid one! I'm attaching a few pictures for you to see him snoozing away. He sits right at my feet when I'm working. Oh, he loves to look at himself in the mirror! Too funny! I will be keeping in touch with you as he grows up, Mary. I want to again thank you for such a wonderful little guy. Say Hi to Butch for me and I'll be in touch soon.

Best regards, Lynn

My dearest Mary and Butch, Thank you for being my angels as well. Just arrived home from a hellacious day at work and much on my mind. This snapped me back to reality in nothing flat! What an incredible story and yes, brought tears to my own eyes. How I've wondered about TJ and been afraid to ask. Seems sickness and dying is all around me anymore...either physically, emotionally, or even worse, spiritually. You lightened up my world! Give TJ a BIG hug for me. I sent this e-mail to many. Have some tentative plans in October around the 14-21st, but will be in touch with you regarding your schedule once more is firm. Hope all's well on your end. Again, many thanks for just being you and SHARING all life's gifts and wonderment. love you....

Dear Mary, Today is Kuchen's birthday. She is 11 !! I want to thank you for all these years of having her. She is a special dog. She has many white hairs on her face and feet but is full of life and truly a P.D. Perfect Dog. Thank you for being such a good breeder of Dachshunds. We are fine here. Laurie and Kathy live with me, and must not forget Schubert. He and Kuchen are a pair of "old people". I am hoping that you and your family are fine too. And that this email address is still valid!

Love and best wishes, Louise LaFrancis

Mary, Here is a picture of Tink. She is spoiled rotten. For Thanksgiving we went up to St. Simons Island, Georgia and stayed at a pet friendly cottage. She enjoyed it so much, running on the beach and mingling with other dogs. We also took her to Savannah for the day; she was the talk everywhere we went, of course, when she got tired of walking she went into her stroller. We are truly enjoying her.

 Take care, Maria

Just viewed your new site. Looking good. Riley just had his last set of puppy shots and his rabies shot and have started him on heart worm preventative. He now weighs 10 1/2 lbs. and looking beautiful. Loves everyone, other dogs no matter how big, cats (played with Shadow (Hemingway large cat) all day at Christmas at my son's and loves kids. Loves to ride in the car with me and a very good rider. Hope Helley finds a good home. She was a good mama for Riley and he must have her temperament. Would take her myself if I was a little younger.

I have just fallen in love with a Dachshund! I have had dogs all my life...my first Dachshund...a long haired female, 3 months now. I am interested in another pup, I am in no hurry, thinking perhaps Springtime...any upcoming litters planned? My experience dictates that, since I have a female, I should plan on a male. This is so they "get along"...is this true? I am especially fond of female dogs, they seem "sweeter" to me. I just love the English Cream, also a red with black shading would be my second choice. If you are a good fir for what I am searching for, great! If not, perhaps you can point me in the right direction? I appreciate you time. In Love with the Teckel,

I have just fallen in love with a Dachshund! I have had dogs all my life, from Chihuahua to Irish Wolfhound...this is my first Dachshund...a long haired female, 3 months now. I thought she was black and tan at first, but the more I learn, I now believe she may be considered black and cream. I am so happy with her temperament and her overall Dachshund "presentation". I have been really and I've seen so many now...I love their dignified stance and presence, married with their personality and devoted nature! I have always had 2 or 3 dog-friends and my "Daisy" is an only child. Maybe I am just simply dog crazy, but yes, I am interested in another pup. I just love them, they add so much to my life! I am in no hurry, thinking perhaps Springtime...any upcoming litters planned? My experience dictates that since I have a female, I should plan on a male pup next. The logic I have heard is they get along better when there are 2 genders...if you have a pair...is this true in your experience? Daisy will be 6 months or so if I find a pup in the Spring. Do you think that is an appropriate age to have another dog introduced, or should I wait until my Daisy is older? I am especially fond of female dogs, they seem "sweeter" to me. If 2 females would work out, that would be so wonderful and I am interested in what your experience is. As far as color, I just love the English Cream, a red with black shading would be my second choice, pet "quality, I am not showing or breeding, also health is a huge priority, of course. If you are a good fit for what I am searching for, great! If not, perhaps you can point me in the right direction? I greatly appreciate you time. United By Being In Love with the Teckel-dog,

Heron Strong

PS: (Your website is beautiful and I think your dogs are something special!)

Sorry, I left out something. I am interested in a long haired, standard size pup. Also...Just wondering; my pup (I have described) also has a tiny white "star" in the middle of her breastbone, is she considered a piebald with that addition?

Thanks again,
Heron Strong
